The facility features a 7.5 KW hybrid wind turbine / photovoltaic system, utilized for the training of personnel who will analyze, design, build, install and maintain wind energy infrastructure.

State Theatre Renovation
Culpeper, VA
1938 saw the construction of Pitts Theatre, a vaudeville movie house in Culpeper, Virginia named after the builder, State Senator Benjamin Pitts. Closed in 1993 upon sale to a local group, the 11,000 square-foot building was purchased by another individual in 2004 to save the theatre from demolition. It has since transferred to the State Theatre Foundation, Inc.

The Stewart’s Building Restoration
First Historic LEED® Certified Building in the State of Maryland

The Stewart’s Building restoration included converting the ornate nine-story structure, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, into a 125,000 square-foot mixed use development consisting of retail tenants on the first floor and a mixture of high-tech offices, telecommunications switchgear, and data centers on the upper floors.

HCYU provided MEP/FP Engineering Design and Construction Administration Services for the College of William and Mary School of Education. This 114,745 SF state-of-the-art facility serves undergraduate and graduate degree programs for teachers in elementary, middle and secondary education.
Innsbrook I & II Operations Center

HC Yu and Associates provided the Fast-Track Design MEP/FP Engineering Design and Commissioning Services for the renovation of the Capital One Operations Center. The Operations Center consists of two adjoining office buildings, totaling 180,000 SF, with a common mechanical and electrical plant.

HCYU provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Alarm design for the new activity space/educational space building. Sprinklers were also performance specified by HCYU. The highly efficient HVAC system utilizes a dedicated ventilation system with energy recovery.
